The house was built in the early 1630 by a rich Armeniant merchant Gabriel Bartoszewicz.
A carved figure of the founder's saint patron, the Archangel Gabriel holding a lily, is located in the niche on the first floor.
The walls of the second floor are decorated with lions standing on both sides of a centrally-located dragon. The lions are to protect the house against the evil shown as the dragon.
At present the building houses the Zamosc Museum.
