I can see why you love the country life - it looks like a little slice of paradise where you live, and you capture that feeling so well. It was a very pleasant journey through your galleries.

Nice Pictures Johnny, Got the link after you posted a comment on one of mine and thought I would take a peak. Looks like we like walking in similar places. The viaduct shot I took at Bishop was after I finished my Nightshift, so a bit of good luck being up at that time of the morning. Keep it up.

Very nice pictures of Bollihope. I lived there for 11 years before moving to London - bit of a culture shock thats for sure! My folks still live on Whitfield Brow. Its nice to see photos of where I played as a kid.

Hello Johnny
Thnaks for visiting my photo of the sun:
http://www.pbase.com/boliston/image/72424168

I would liked to have got in closer to the Sun with my 12-24 wide angle, but these things get *very* hot so I decided to take a long shot with my 85mm. Next time I will wear an asbestos suit and take a 10.5mm fisheye. Cheers Adrian

Hi John,

I used to live within a few hundred yards of Joes pond,at Chilton Moor. The photo was actually taken on one of the other man made ponds on the bird sanctuary, so I am not strictly correct in my description. I was up on the Stanhope Burn fells on Saturday last and got some nice shots, but struggling to find time to process and upload. PBase kind of takes over your life. Hope to get them up by the weekend.

Regards John

Jonny, I keep coming back to these for another look. The photos have a personal touch to them that I really like, and "the lonesome pine" is a great study.
