For the past several months, Karolina has been a very important person in my life. The transition from fellow to staff physician has been a tough one, but Karolina has helped me to navigate some of the most confusing waters. In a way, she has adopted me, and has kept my head above water in a sea of tasks and paperwork. I couldn't have asked for a better secretary.
Yesterday, Karolina went for an ultrasound and came in today with a "portrait" of her daughter. I very much look forward to meeting her in a few months.
So, here is my opportunity to offer thanks to Karolina for taking such good care of me, and thank you for letting me shoot this first "mother-daughter" portrait!
