I don't think I have ever been in a city that was as clean and had as many statues as Vienna.
There were statues on roofs, over doors, just every where...I don't think the pigeons dared to land on them.
Nice to see the pristine building and statues.
I was in Geneva, 28 and 3 years ago, and was saddened to still see graffiti on the street walls and on the park statues.
Google says, "One of the most effective and widely adopted methods is the use of fine mesh netting. This nearly invisible netting prevents pigeons from landing and roosting on the statues, significantly reducing droppings accumulation."... almost invisible, maybe over their rooftops? The walls in your photos are very white too. Maybe they just had a re-paint job. ~V~v~
Excellent photograph with statues on the roof level ground level all looking great in the frame.
There may be an ordinance on the pigeons telling the stay off our statues.
