started the wheat berries in a Mason jar, and once the roots showed (a couple of days with rinsing a couple of times a day) distributed them over a tray of moist Miracle Gro Potting Mix and stirred them in with a chopstick.

Put the tray under my fluorescent grow light and they grew to this height in three days.

After they finished munching, I put the tray back down under the lights.
