Black Sand Beach

Dryholaey

Dryholaey is a small promontory on the South Coast of Iceland near the town of Vik. Black sand beaches, cliffs, basalt caves, a stunning coast line, sea stacks and rock formations, a lighthouse, and the best treat of all, puffins, make this area quite special.

I love how the edge of the black sand leads the eye throughout.
Nicely done!

I wish we had had more time here :-(

Nicely framed, as well, with fog at top.

Dramatic terrain and color to go with it! I like how the large rock anchors the frame's scene. Reminds me of the black sand beaches in Hawaii, but not as swimmer friendly!!
