Battered Bug

I was past the part of city I grew up in today.....
We were "South Ender's" the well to do kids as they called us from the north of the city.
This "Battered Bug" sits only a few blocks from my childhood home.
Yes this once was a pretty well to do area and very well looked after by all that lived here.
But sadly it has gone down hill and you can even find cars like this without even looking that hard.
We really were not all that well off but we made do even so.....

I don't think you can train yourself to see color like that. It's a gift.. I could walk around that bug for a week and never see that shot. Very cool. V

Well done Mike! Bugs work so well with super wide angle views. The aqua and red and the ground texture really add to this one.~V~

Bob Jones would be happy to provide new home for this bug. Excellent crystal clear shot, low angle is terrific... voted!

Another great use of the wide angle!! Its always a shame to see areas you know go downhill - but on a positive, it gave you this great shot!!

Very cool shot of this old bug. Interesting to read about the changes.

Too bad about your home base and too bad this bug is wasting away. Very nice shot anyway. I really like this treatment!

My neighborhood is going downhill too...where I grew up. This is a fantastic perspective! Love the bug! My first car was a bug!

It may be battered and in the neighbourhood you don’t remember that way but you got a great shot just the same. That spin of red rim really sets it off as well.
