End of The Line

This is the "End of The Line" for some things but not all things.....
I have had my trusty D200 for over two years now, and for the most part it has been a great tool.
Built like a tank it had always well most always worked very well for me.
This year I updated to a D300 and the Pro battery and MB D10 Grip...I need the battery life
and this is why I changed...The D200 in the cold would only give me 50 shots at best and "Painting"
in the cold well only one or two. The D300 has already showin me that it can out do the D200 battery
life in a heart beat.
I had planned to keep the D200 and the 10-20mm lens combo for all my wide work, but I love the D300 so much I had to just get one more...
Sad but this is the last image I will shoot with the D200..Arlene will now operate this beast.
I still have a Gallery of images from the "Bob Jones Collection" to post that was shot with the D200 and D300....

Great shot. Bittersweet. This is such a "clean" picture. I think of a clothes line full of clothes when I see it. Well done Mike. Now I have to go get a D3 just to keep ahead.

I am always amazed at the reasons "some folks" use to "justify" buying new equipment - LOL :-) Another wonderful wide angle prairie image with your old camera body is a great way to phase it out.

Mike, this is a tremendous shot... who needs mountains? They would just block a gorgeous prairie sky like this :)

Saskatchewan, land of living skies indeed!

I'm feeling a need for a 10-20 for sure.... Congrats on the second D300 buddy!!

I am sure that whatever camera you mount this lens on you will continue to impress me with these prairie 'big sky' photos. This is the thing I miss most about the prairies...thanks Mike.

I feel your pain. It's tough letting go of an old friend. As much as I want a 5D or 40D, it'll be hard to put the 20D down. It's been my bread and butter tool for over 3 1/2 years now.

Great wide shot. Wonderful colors.

So let me get this right... You were one of the first to start the trend of buying the 300... Now you go and buy a second? Sorry Mike, i know my wife wont be as forgiving if I decide to follow that trend!

Now, the 80-400.. Hmmm just maybe!
