We spent the day at Berkeley's medieval Deer Park which is a great place
With views over the Severn valley, the Cotwolds and Berkerley Castle, and of course the deer
(the walk around the park and the castle grounds is about 6 miles, so a good leg stretch)
The castle was also having a steam rally but by then it was rather wet so my camera stayed tucked away.
We saw lots of deer, at least they looked like deer ,
but we could not get within 800 metres of them before they all skedaddled.
Unfortunately with a 24mm -105mm lens I was not going to get any good pics of them at that range…
So I settled for a dead tree and some dramatic sky..
we had lots of that today (the sky that is)
