ShoeString Studio

Hotel Room

This is my home made studio knocked up in 5 minutes
one A4 photocopy box, picked up from the office (any cardboard box will do)
a few sheets of photocopy paper A3 and A4
a couple of room lamps
1 flash.
1 pair of scissors (make sure an adult supervises the use of these)
some sticky tape

Cut out a large opening on the top and both sides of the box and tape the copy paper over these openings.
Cut one end of box so that it opens like barn doors.
Fix some paper inside the box at the back to create the infinity curve.

You now have a mini studio….

See below for a close-up

I set the flash to fire automatically off camera, however with a 0.4 sec exposure
the flash could easily have been fired by hand after the shutter was pressed
The other lamps just help with some additional lighting.

other sizes: small medium original auto
