I work in a park area. This year we were blessed with a Baby Black Vulture.
This is Mama and her fledgling Gus. They live in the bushes at our Office with Daddy Black Vulture.
Black Vultures are highly social birds with fierce family loyalty.
They share food with relatives, feeding young for months after they’ve fledged.
Last week, Gus was completely covered with his baby fuzz, but this week he is sprouting nice adult plumage.
In this picture, Mama is helping pluck the fuzz away from his face.
