Hi Jerry, What great photo's. I too was doing family research when I stumbled upon your photos of Newfoundland. Absolutely wonderful stuff! i sent you an email about a particular photo & then sat back and watched a slideshow of the area. It was a wonderful few minutes for me. Thanks for that :)

My wife is a descendent of the Tilly family of Bonavista and Ringwood, England. I Have written and published my first book on the family - I have now completed my second book based on the family in the 1700's. I am looking for a cover picture! Your pictures are brilliant and could provide me with a scenic shot of Bonavista headland or cliff - your sunsets are incredible.
What do you think? I would, of course provide acknowledgements.

We really enjoyed your Newfoundland pictures. It has been 45 years since we left and 25 years since we have visited. Your fine pictures will probably be as close as we come to seeing Newfoundland again.

Mr. Curtis...I think your images are superb!...especially considering that they were taken with not only an A350, but also with a V1 and and H5...Would you please tell me your secert for such images using the V1 & H5?...please include post-production if any...I'm considering the purchase of either a A200, A300, or A350...however I might purchase in adition to one of these a V1 or H5...Thank you...Mike

Jerry, I have become farmiliar with your name via Karen Coultas, I know her husband quite well and they were at our wedding last year. I have looked at your galleries and I do not think you are doing what you were made to do....being a Financial Planner may pay your bills but your photos will give us all pleasure for years to come. Keep up the camera as I am sure one day I shall see one of your photos blown up and hanging somewhere spectacular!! great job!!

Loved your Newfoundland photos! Beautiful shots of a beautiful spot.

Hi Jerry, I am designer working on a cruise brochure and was wondering if you license your images for use? Google brought me to this sight while on the search for Panama Canal images. It is difficult to locate quality images of this region even through the large stock houses. Please contact me at Hornall Anderson Design Works about whether usage is even an option. There are a few really nice shots of Gatun Lake. My email is or call me at 206.286.2470. If you can contact me within the week that would be great since our deadline for photos is coming up. Best Regards Laurie Greenlee

Thanks for leaving comments on a couple of my photos. I've looked at a lot of YOUR photos because I'm about to buy a new camera & the photos you've taken with the Sony H5 are excellent.

Great Pics and Galleries. I have been going back to this site for quite awhile now but didn't realize it was the Jerry Curtis I knew. Photo interest here also. What type of camera do you use, or have used in the past.

Hi Jerry:

Very Impressive... I had the pleasure of living in Newfoundland for 7 years and my wife is from Long Island, Newfoundland. We will be returning for a visit again next summer, but until then we will be glancing at your images more than once, I'm sure. Keep up the excellent postings... Dennis Helmuth

My name is also Jerry Curtis - a snowmobiler and a photographer, presently living in Vernon BC but looking to relocate somewhere the housing is reasonable! Nice photos! Come see me at !

What an excellent body of work! We have a summer place in BB and know Keels, Tickle Cove, Dungeon Park, etc. well. My husband's (Kent Hotson) photos are posted on the Marianapolis College/Montreal Nfld. history site. Your rendering of the beauty of this province does our land justice. A wonderful record of this timeless place. My mother was a Strugnell from Pouch Cove and told me of berrypicking on the Tolt.

Hi Jerry, thanks for your wonderful comments on my galleries. I have had you on my favorites list for quite a while. I enjoy so many of your photos and I love the variety. Also, I have a V1 and you have helped me look at it very differently. I now use both the V1 and H1 depending on the situation. Thanks!!

Jerry, I really enjoyed browsing through here, You have a nice eye for beauty and balance. Keep up the good work. g

You have tremenous taste in beauty, like I always said one of the nicest pictures I have ever seen ,that a friend took, was a rusty can on a white picket fence. He told me that I was the only person to say that, smile, but like I always said, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". You have lots of beauty in your pictures. Keep up the good work. My hats of to you.I left a comment before also and told some friends about your site,so you might get more visitors. I'm close to having my website up and running soon, when I do,I'll let you know,so you can see some of my pictures, etc. Take care and have a Merry Christmas.

Hi Jerry,

On June 9, I saw the Kisses yacht docked in Hamburg Germany. I was on a two week vacation in Germany. It is quite an impressive yacht. Your pictures are great!

Hi Jerry,
I always enjoy coming back to your beautiful pics and looking at them....wanted you to know that every night before I leave work, I bring one of the Pouch Cove ones up on my screen and leave it there (as a screen saver)...when I get into my desk in the morning...I always have a "window on Pouch Cove" to look at - and that is much, much better than looking out my window at downtown Boston!
Guest 21-Apr-2005 14:07
Hi Jerry, I am the guy who dropped his V3, You have some real good shots in your Galleries. Do you mostly shoot in Auto Mode or do you use manual settings.
Well Done, PBase and Sony supporter.

Beautiful photos, crafted with the same creativity and imagination of a Jerry Curtis who once made a career in radio announcing. Would you be the same?
