For the ::December Alphabet:: Challenge - Letter X

I opened my Oxford English Concise Dictionary which has nearly two thousand pages
and some Eighty Thousand Words. Turned to the X's and found thirty six words....

scanned the list and thought bummer... unless I can find an xray machine, did out the old xerox or
rumage around in the attic for the xylophone I really am struggling today.

although i did learn that xebec is a Mediterranean sailing ship, and that xanthic is tending towards a yellow colour
so gave up and went for a real pun..
