In 1970, Wesley Moody became the first to average over 100 mph for a lap on the New York Fairgrounds one mile dirt track (now often called the "Moody Mile"). This is the car that he did it in. It is a 1936 Chevy coupe with a Chevy fuel injected big block 454 cubic inch V8 engine; 54 Chevy frame rails and a Ford solid axel in front. It had a longer wheel base than the normal dirt track car so it was very effective on asphalt too. Paraphrased from various sources.
