"Mustang at 50: An American Icon": June 14-Nobemeber 2, 2014. Irish-born Harry Ferguson, who (with two drivers) had designed an all-wheel drive Formula 1 car in 1960, imported 3 Mustangs to England and converted them to all-wheel drive. In a comparison test with an identical rear wheel drive Mustang the editor of "Motor" said: it displayed "astonishing acceleration on a surface with very little grip and if you tried to stay with it on the corners you spun ignominiously". Ferguson hoped to interest Ford in producing it, but Ford did not bite.Source: Paraphrased from a sign at the museum.
