Storm Alfred

West Hartford Reservoir, West Hartford, CT USA

For Mile Road (a few blocks from our house). Storm Alfred is having a terrible impact on Connecticut. There have been a number of deaths and fires and over 880,000 were without power. Many will not get their power back until near Midnight Sunday November 6th and a few probably after that. Our power went out on Saturday October 29th at about 5 p.m. We got it back on November 3 in the afternoon. We "roughed it" at home for 4 nights and then stayed with a friend. Although we had power yesterday, we decided to stay with our friend last night. As it turned out, we lost power again until this morning. Good friends are priceless.

My goodness! Alfred certainly caused havoc as this image very graphically displays.

Palpable damage and real life, a necessary documented but touching image, be well.

Strong documentation work Frank. Glad that you are all right, and you are correct about what you write about friends.

Wlw, that snow storm really did some damage. Glad you are safe and that they finally got power to you. I'll keep all of you in my prayers!
