3:19 in the afternoon and I arrive at the PCT: almost eight hours into the hike. I'm at 5,900 feet at this point. Still 300 feet to climb, but I felt as strong as at any time during this extremely strenuous hike. Can't explain the strength I still felt at this point. Unprecedented, since I started hiking again after an interruption of several years.
