Some birds just love to stay in the middle of the trees and bushes, making it difficult to get any kind of a shot of them. After about 20 minutes of attempting to photograph this bird I finally gave up and when I reviewed my pictures I was amazed to find I had one useable shot. Chestnut-backed Chickadee facts: Chestnut-backed chickadees use lots of fur and hair to make their nests. Their nests are actually 50% fur and hair. The most common hair they use comes from deer, rabbits, and coyotes. The adult chickadees also make a layer of fur about a centimetre thick which is used to cover the eggs on the nest whenever they leave the nest. ~ Birdhouses 101
