Deciduous Azalea

Southern Vancouver Island

Capturing the intense colour of these azaleas has always been a challenge...the right lighting is
crucial....this year is the closest I've come to being in the right place, at the right time, when the
light was nearly perfect. Deciduous Azalea facts: Deciduous Azaleas are often the forgotten member of
the Rhododendron family, as they really don’t fit the general profile of the group. They have an
incredible floral displays of oranges, yellows and reds and they can be confusing to identify because
the blossom looks like an azalea flower, but the plant looks very different. ~ farmingtongardens.com

It is difficult to get the brilliant colour and retain all of the details. This is excellent. Well done.
