Chicory grows wild on Vancouver Island and its blue flowers are abundant along the roadsides and in
fields. I've found, when attempting to photograph this flower, that it has the annoying habit of
closing up its blossom in the midafternoon. To get a good shot of the blossom it's best to try and get
out in the early morning or towards evening when the day is cooler.
