I was looking for a few archived images - this being one of them - to use in a book of local community photographs. This is not the version that will be used. It's been slightly altered by using the Nik Color Efex Pro 3 Polaroid Transfer filter on it. This filter provided the raggedy border and softened the image to provide a more painterly appearance.
The image has most of my preferred ingredients - a foreground element for interest and depth perspective, a diagonal leading line in the form of the walkway to "walk" the viewer back to the subject, a bit of framing in the form of the branches, and finally the subject itself. It was nice that someone had lights burning in two of the windows for a little added interest.
Finding the image which was archived on a DVD was no problem. Copying it from the DVD was. I believe the problem is the DVD reader and not the DVD itself, but either way I'm considering new/better archiving system. Finding the images using IMatch is simple.
