This is a Julia set fractal rendered in 3D using FractalWorks, a free, high performance Fractal renderer for Macintoshes.

The image was rendered almost a the limit of double precision math, so it has some rough texture as a side-effect of math errors. I rather like the effect.

I also posted a 2D version of this image. They look quite different.
