Really enjoyed viewing your work, great job!
I grew up in "The Patch", Lost Creek, Pine Street. It was a great place to be a kid. It's very disturbing to see what has become of such a wonderful area.
Keep up the good work.

your pics capture a feeling of nostalgia in me. Partly because one pic was of Raven's Run. My granmom grew up there. I believe my father and siblings (3 sisters) took a trip there many yrs after she passed. Funny thing, I believe my dad mentioned speaking with "Butch" and he knew and grew up with my granmom "Nellie" and may have been her first suitor. My father made it sound very ...supernatural that he met "butch". Oh well, thanks for sharing your art.

I love the galleries you have created. It may not be possible to identify all of the churches, etc.,but for the ones you can,it would be great to have a caption with the name of the church and the town. Many of these churches will be closed at some point in time, as many have already been, andthe next generation will no longer be able to identify them. Your gallery could be such a help for remembering these wonderful structures by future generations. With the abandoned homes gallery, it would be helpful to have the town. Some looked familiar, but I could not identify any, even though I grew up near Gilberton.

Dave nice galleries and welcome to the world of the E-3. I moved up to the E-3 last year when I got a bonus at work and haven't looked back since. My original DSLR was the E-500 after using Pentax film cameras for a long time. Hope you're still loving the E-3 and all the rest of the great Olympus equipment in your list.

Great photos!!! I'm from Mahanoy City and enjoyed the pics of the churches and all. Cronicle the whole town before it's totally gone, there are still a few good buildings and rows of houses left. Thanks

David what up? When you come back to Bassett Chicko and visit mom I'll show you my cool photo's of a chopped off low rider car I snapped at Mickeys Market.
Kidding aside, I love the pics they are beautiful and I am jealous of where you are right now because it's 110 degrees where we live and we wish we could live in snow too !
When you come home we can take shots of local color (graffitti ?)
Love your sis,
