Paul - I have been to Gates Pass a couple of times to shoot the sunsets, and general Golden Hour. You are right - a beautiful spot to shoot them. And you can look the other way and see a nice view of Tucson lit up at night.
For anyone who wants to visit, I'll go up there with you when you come.
