Does the car show a current registration?

There may be an ordinance addressing long-term parking or non-working cars.

Very true our city specifies no single family residence shall have more than 4 unrelated persons living in the residence. Here’s the catch, the management company pays their bills so the city isn’t pushing it and our home addition does not have a homeowners association.
Another city just north of us called Shawnee had similar problems with the same company, called Homeroom, and passed strict city ordinances about these exact issues which convinced the company to halt future expansion in the area.

The people living there are nice, quiet and respectable I just don’t like all the cars. One car parked out front owned by a young lady which has seen it’s better days hasn’t been moved in a month. :::UPDATE::: BREAKING NEWS::: Just in, I was out front watering the flowers this afternoon and saw the young lady come out of the house, hop on a bike and ride away. That explains why her car hasn’t been moved recently. Paul

Dave - Good question. I hadn't thought about that. Most cities have some pretty strict rules on how homes can be rented out. By the bedroom sounds pretty iffy.

Is the owner in violation of any codes or association rules? Renting by the bedroom sounds pretty sketchy. There was a fire in a city near ours where several Chinese restaurant workers died. I don’t know if the owner was charged, but the house was not being used consistent with others in its neighborhood.

Unfortunately the new owner is a investor that lives in San Francisco, rents out bedrooms, 7 total in this home and barely even keeps the property up. The fence on the north is rotting and falling down and there is a rotted post on my side. One of the trees in the front yard is a Osage orange and drops large hedge balls which are rarely picked up and there is a ever changing lawn service company that shows up about twice a month and does a half ass job. OH WAIT… I hear a mower! (Paul runs to front window and looks out) Wow they are here earlier than usual. I used to see a weekly cleaning service but have t seen them in some time now.

Earlier this spring I grabbed my pole saw and cut back a some of the mulberry branches hanging over my property but that only gets me up 14 feet and these are close to 40 feet to the top. I plan to try again putting my 8 foot step ladder up so I can get 6 feet higher. Definitely yellow! Paul

Have you considered asking your neighbor about trimming the overhanging branches? Alternately, would a tarp over your compressor at fruiting time, slanted towards your neighbor's property provide some relief?

I learned that, in addition to a long conditioning time, mulberry wood tends to spark, making it unsuitable for open combustion. Do you prefer white or yellow cheddar?

This rather large mulberry is complete with a humongous supply of berries is about 6 feet from the property line hangs over our backyard, roofline and air conditioning condenser. When we replaced our heat pump 2 years ago I had no idea that the berries would be able to go thru the top guard, hit the fan blade and splat the outside of my home which means I’m doing a lot of hosing down of the house. Then there is the seemingly never ending supply of highly fertile berry seeds sprouting in my landscaped areas under the tree.

So if you don’t mind send me a block of that world renowned Wisconsin sharp cheddar cheese to go with my whine. Paul

I take it your neighbor's tree is a female and is dropping messy fruit on your yard. I wonder whether there's a better way to collect/harvest it. A lot of our neighborhood mulberry trees drop their fruit on streets where we walk (no sidewalks), and care has to be taken not to track it into the house. Heck, I don't even like to drive through the stuff. And when the birds eat it and, um, drop, that's s mess of entirely new proportions.

I keep praying my neighbors nasty mulberry tree will do this and more. I’d be happy to go over with my chainsaw and help out. Paul

It's a male mulberry tree. The female mulberry trees in the neighborhood will be very sad if we have it removed.

Crotch rot?

Paul - good observation. That split looks like "tree death" in waiting.

Unless I’m mis interpreting what I’m seeing that tree looks to be splitting down the trunk and in need of support or possibly might need to come down. I’ve got a soft maple that split and I had to rod it or loose it in the next wind storm. Maybe I should add a photo of it to the challenge. The grandkids call it the Frankenstein tree. Paul
