Many thanks, Michael, for clarifying! I had been afraid your wording ("subdued") could have meant you found the colours somewhat 'boring'... When I saw this image of my own on the computer-screen (not when I took it), it did somehow remind me--in all modesty and, of course, aware of the enormous differences in "artistry"--of work by Sorolla (but, alas, without the light that "shines" so much in his Mediterranian paintings). Yes Daniel, the subdued but rich colors do indeed fit the image, IMHO. The colors are reminiscent of impressionistic beach paintings which I like very much. -Michael
