Maybe Next Fall 11-01-24

Things Will Look Different

Only the tree in the middle of the screen (along the street) is ours. That is now a shadow of its former self https://pbase.com/britestar/image/173910135 The property line is another 20' East of that. Our next door neighbors have their trees planted on the property line.

Until my husband removed them, we used to also have a row of 26, well-spaced, mature White Pines across the entire front of our front yard along the street. They were really pretty and presented a lot of privacy. Sadly, all the pines in our entire area (our development and beyond) were affected by a disease making it now impossible for any pine trees to now grow. That was why my husband had to remove them. The last one was removed last Fall.

At this time, two new trees to the East of our driveway are now in the new landscaping "plans": two maples: a Scarlet Maple and an October Red Maple. Since the landscapers have not been doing anything, we're measuring off these trees' placements ourselves today. If the landscaping work ever actually gets done, the view above will look different next Fall. I'll have my colorful, new shade trees. Maples, of varying types, seem to grow well for us. All we need now is for the landscaping service we've hired is to actually do something.

Well, I hope they get with the program, and soon!
