the multiple services provided at the Hurley Center which shares the former Scollay Square site with the Lindemann Center
unfortunately it also shares the same architectural design
this is the front of the building, facing the main thoroughfare
note the absence of an entrance which is situated to the back at nearly the end of the building
I think the design was purposed by the State officials in reprisal for the loss of the Howard Athenaeum which occupied the land upon which this ungainly building sits, just down the street from the State Capitol & once the center of Boston's red light district
