I may have lost the big one, but this still-respectable 13-incher gave a good fight in its own right. Not only are the Westslope cutthroats handsome, but in my experience they fight much harder than Yellowstone or coastal cutts. They also seem to weigh more than the average rainbow of similar length. And in the crystal clear water of the Lochsa, they are superb models for some fish photography.
