Mexican 5 Peso coins. Each coin contains over 30grams / 1 ounce of .900 silver.
To my knowledge they were the largest and heaviest silver coins minted for general circulation in the 20th Century.
The front of the coin depicts the Mexican Eagle and the reverse Cuauhtemoc the last Emperor of the Aztecs.
I believe they were only minted from 1946 to 1949. If anyone has any more information let me know.
