Night Moves

January 5

Home

Not what I set up for last night but a curiosity none the less.
I originally was waiting for the sliver of moon to drop down
into the trees with the thin whispy clouds for atmosphere.
The clouds became solid as I waited. I heard a car in the
distance and flashbacks of many interesting light plays here
at Pbase came to mind so I spun around and adjusted the set-
tings for a slower shutter speed.

Nice shot Scott - we'll get you doing urban yet!
Guest 05-Jan-2006 23:39
Cool. Looks like you captured a fast one. Love the lighttrails which do not span the entire picture and the corner which completes the composition.

I could have told you it's tough to photograph the Flash!
Easier to view him in the comic books.
;^)

i have had many shots which i didn't set out to shoot and came home with a beauty. :)
i love how nothing is in focus...almost as if i'm travelling along side this speeding car.

I love doing night shots when the weather is good here - which is about 2 weeks out of the year.. :S
THese are excellent .. looks like selective desaturation on that light..

I like that it's oof, not exactly sure why. What's the red glowing object in the lower left of the frame?
Guest 05-Jan-2006 16:20
nice work. these are among my favorite shots, and you're right, pbasers do a great job capturing them. I love the colors here.

Some fast thinking to get a great shot! Good job.

I dig it. Makes for a nice abstract, in a way. The extra blow-out of the light trails works well. I also like how the two stationary lights at the top and the light trails below form a face. Sort of.
