The home of the daughter of the Harding family that
owned Belle Meade Plantation (in last week's montage).
Gen. William G. Harding gave his daughter (Mary) 2600
acres of his farm in 1883. She and her husband (Howell
E. Jackson, US Senator, US 6th Circuit Court justice
and Supreme Court justice) then bought the the adjoining
131 acre farm and and built this home for $14,905.
