I selected this catalog to scan because it really just nicely covers everything in terms of period logging tools, rigging, etc.
Whatever your interest level, there is some GREAT information here. Whether you're a scale model builder or a rusty-tools
collecter hitting the swap-meets, you'll get an accurate showing of 'what was what' and what it sold for when it was new.
I am surrounded by vintage logging advertising 24/7, and I still love to flip through these old catalogs and look at treasures...
It should also be noted that pages (29, 30, 31, 32, 35, 36) are missing from my old catalog-? There are several possibilities:
It simply could be that items were eliminated from the 1949 line offering and that these pages were left out intentionally.
At any rate, enjoy the postings and dont forget to visit http://www.rustygrapple.com often for more logging history!
