I missed this yesterday. It seems to work. I think the IR works best in high contast situations especially with an early or stormy sky against illuminatted subjects with lots of deep shadow surrounding. Sometimes I wish I had an old Sony 717 to play with the IR directly to the camera more. I wonder if the displays on those show the IR image before capture. Glad to see PS 7 will convert!
PS CS2 is talking to me in my sleep :) It has a great sharpening tool and the abilty to merge multiple shots of the same subject to select areas exposed best for extreme light variances. There is an article in the September Outdoor Photographer showing this application.
