Cooper's Hawk
I feed the local songbirds on the patio and the Cooper's
that hunts them has finally returned after an absence of
several months. It looks a little worn.
As usual, it rarely gets a catch. Here it is resting on
the fence once again after another unsuccessful attempt.
It's eye reflects the image of the sun in they sky above
the silhouette of my townhouse.
Update (10/8/2013): This was the last I ever saw of "him." The bird
in the "Son of Red Eye?" appears to have permanently
replaced him the day after this photo,
We spent many nice years together.
