The first meeting of the New England CTF Challenge Society was held on September 30th, 2005 at the Big E in West Springfield, MA. The members at that time were Mary Anne O'Connor and Sharon Lips. Also along on the excursion was honorary member Pieter Lips. The Big E is billed as "New England's autumn tradition and the ninth largest fair in North America," so there were many photo opportunities. It was New England Foods day and we had a ball with that. There were vendors in front of each state building offering free samples, we ate our way through authentic family recipe southern (!) salsa, ice cream, pesto, maple syrup, ice cream, chicken in BBQ sauce, ice cream, etc and then went and found lunch! We were so busy tasting that I have no pictures of us chowing down. It was a glorious day and a good time was had by all!
