Carthage is one of the 52 neighborhoods that make up Cincinnati located on the west side of the city, accessible via I-75
and Paddock. It is a working class community that is home to the Hamilton County Fair and a growing hispanic population.
There is a new housing project that is nearing completion with the homes offering a new urbanism approach and a nice
break from the typical suburban architecture of recent years.
OMG...i forgot about that indian sign..I attended St. Charles Catholic school and my mom used to take me to that country kitchen almost everyday before school...I miss Cincy so much..I now live in E-town,ky...Trudy M.

i was born in carthage and lived there 37 years. not much to look at now but when i was a kid it was a vary nice place to live. i miss the old country kitchen that was torn down to make room for white castle. and i can rember the old tv commercial that say Where Paddock meets Vine at the big Indian sign!" thanks so much your photos

I grew up in Carthage right across from the hamilton county fairgrounds in the 70's and late 80's. Thanks for your photos!
